MiniMat - Pristine White

Absolutely love it. I do agree with most that the bar is a little flimsy with trying to stay up. However, I highly recommend this product especially due to its great quality.

I received the Doc-a-tot mini mat from Stellar Panel to review and give my honest opinion. This play mat came at the perfect time. My baby has started to really love floor time! I have used quite a few different play mats with my kids and I am familiar with a lot of the mats that are on the market right now. I received one from my baby shower that is similar to this one. After taking this one out of the package and setting it up, right away I noticed how thick the actual play mat was compared to the other one. Huge difference. I love that the mat has sides on it that protect her from rolling out of the mat and things from rolling into her area. The mat is so thick she could comfortably nap on it. It is also extra wide, compared to most play mats which is means it will last longer as she grows! The toy bar that goes around, slides into the fabric loops and locks in nicely. She can pull down on the toys and unlike the other mat, it doesn’t unsnap from the plastic and tumbled down on top of her. It’s safely in there and even with her pulling on them stay above her face. I have a two month old daughter and four month old niece and they both love the play mat! The four month old spits up a lot, and I have found that the mat is easy to wash and spot clean. I like that it is comfortable, durable, fun for them, and safe! I am currently three months pregnant and will definitely be using this mat again!

Baby and I both love this Dock a Tot play mat, which we received for being a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The play mat is very large, comfortable, and very nice looking. We got a baby pink color mat and it absolutely fits our aesthetic. It is a very minimalist seeming play mat, and includes three animal toys on rings that make noises. There are places along the map to attach additional toys, but the mat is fully functional without any additional toys. The mat is so comfortable that my baby has almost fallen asleep on it sometimes (not approved for sleep and the mat says that to make it clear).

To say I am pleased with the DockATot MiniMat would be a huge understatement. I received the MiniMat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was very pleased with what I opened. The MiniMat is aesthetically pleasing and is something I'm comfortable leaving out when guests arrive as it is not an eye sore. The MiniMat is comfortable for my infant. My 2-year-old daughter also likes the comfort as she can often be found lying on the mat when my infant isn't using it. The animals provided are adorably soft and my infant likes to look at them as they are above his head. I'm beginning to use the MiniMat during tummy time and I appreciate how easy the bar with toys is able to be removed and reattached. Overall, I am exceptionally pleased with this product!

My 4 month old loves the DockATot MiniMat—so do I!! I love it because of the neutral colors and the ease to move it around the house. It also gives the baby a safe, designated place to practice tummy time and to look at/reach for the adorable safari animals hanging from the arch when on her back. During tummy time, I’ll detach one of the hanging animals and let her play with it. She loves to hold and mouth them. She will also try to roll and grab for the bright tabs located along the side. The higher cushioned border and thinner cushion on the bottom are perfect because they make it so the mat doesn’t bunch up as she does start to roll and grab for those tabs. Between the size, functionality and beautiful design, this has been a great play mat!! We are so happy to have been able to receive the MiniMat thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I received this infant play mat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was pretty stoked as we are already a fan of the DockATot lounger.

I appreciate that this mat has a smaller footprint and is easy to move around the house. I really like that the bottom of the mat is a bit more padded than most play mats. we have hardwood floors and I don’t feel like I need extra cushion underneath. I like that the edges of the mat are a little bit higher for when baby starts rolling. It’s easy enough to toss in the washer when you need to clean it.

I love the modern and simple design. The little hanging toys are super cute, however I do wish they were a bit higher contrast. My baby seems to really like the black-and-white zebra. They do fall off kind of easily when you’re moving around. I like that you can move them to the side tabs when the baby gets a little bit older.

The toy “bar” is flexible and easily removable, however it is also a bit wobbly and doesn’t always stay in the place he wanted to. I think that’s probably the biggest con with this product and why I took it down a star. But overall I like the mat and would recommend it.

I’m a little torn on how I feel about this mat. I love the simplicity but functionally I’m frustrated with the toy bar part and how I just can’t get it to stay up for very long.

But, could totally be user error or because of the surfaces (hard floors) I have the mat on.

My baby does LOVE the toy bar though. We actually take it off and use it in other areas of the house because she’s so interested in the animals. She hasn’t really showed an interest in the little sensory ribbon things, but maybe that’s just because she’s batting at the animals so much.

Pros:

•Oeko-Tex certified so healthier for your kiddos.

• Aesthetically I appreciate that the play mat isn’t a bunch of obnoxious colors.

• Simple design without a bunch of things going on to overwhelm the baby.

• I like that there is an “edge” to the play mat to help keep my adventurous baby from rolling away.

• The animals on the toy bar are attention grabbing for my baby, she loves looking at them.

Cons:

• I can’t get the bar to stay up very well. After a bit (or if my toddler decides to “help sister play” the toy bar ends up on my baby. We do primarily use the play mat on wood floors or a rug on the wood floors, so maybe on carpet this wouldn’t be an issue.

Overall, if you are looking for a play mat that has a simple design without a lot of things fighting for your baby’s attention, this is it.

The minimat is beautiful, aesthetically lovely, and very high quality. The little animals are adorable and soft. I love the bumper around the mat to keep baby contained. A few improvements would make this mat more desirable for the price point: size and included toys. Babies spit up and have diaper accidents frequently. While this mat is washable, it doesn’t have room to scoot baby over if they make a mess of the mat during play (versus a larger mat). While the mat is small and able to be moved around the house easily, it doesn’t roll or fold up and is therefore not the greatest to pack for travel. Lastly, as babies grow and begin to reach, I would prefer for the mat to come with a toy that jingles or has a unique feature to draw their attention. The DockATot MiniMat is near perfection! It offers a safe and comfortable space for my little one to play. Our home has hardwood flooring, so comfort in a play mat was one of my biggest concerns. The base of the mat is quilted and I feel confident it provides ample cushion. It is also surrounded with a memory foam like bumper which prevents baby from rolling off onto the hard floor. Despite being named a MiniMat, I feel it is generous in size and will grow with our child. It folds easily in half and has a handle for carrying- very manageable one handed! No matter which room we carry it to, the MiniMat blends into our decor with its unobtrusive design. My only fault with this mat is that my baby shows little interest in the included hanging toys. This hasn’t been a concern though because it is very easy to swap out the toys. I personally love the detailing on the animals and they do crinkle. I was given this infant play mat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I absolutely love the aesthetic of this play mat that I received through the Stellar Testing Panel. It is a neutral cream mat with white toy bar and cute toys that hang for baby to try to reach. It blends in so well with my home decor instead of standing out with bold bright colors like the other mats on the market.

I love that the three toys make a crinkly sound when baby grabs them which helps hold his interest. The mat itself is so cushioned which gives my baby a safe place to play. I like the raised edges too which are perfect for tummy time.

Only drawback I saw was that the toy bar was not very sturdy. If baby pulled on a toy the bar would end up in his face. It didn’t stay up well. You couldn’t hang any heavier toys from it. It needed some sort of reinforcement to stay upright. But at least it was soft so it wasn’t a danger.

This may is so easy to move around my home and the little tabs are cute but my baby isn’t quite old enough to notice those yet.
