Our Favourite Babymoon Staycations to Daydream About

Growing a baby is hard work! That's why we love the idea of taking a babymoon. Some space to rest and relax; cherished time alone with your partner before little ones join the mix. And not every babymoon requires passports and a longhaul plane journey. In fact some of the best babymoon locations can be found much closer to home. With travel restricted at the moment, we've been daydreaming about babymoon staycations in some of the most romantic and memorable locations in America. Here are a few of our favourites...

Babymoon Staycations for beach lovers

Oh, how we'd love to kick back and relax in some of these beautiful beach locations!

Maui, Hawaii

For anyone who wants to simply relax as much as possible before baby is born, Maui gives you a feast for your senses. For ultimate comfort and beauty choose an oceanfront hotel, with the sound of gently lapping waves as the soothing soundtrack to your stay.

It is possible to have everything you need within walking distance but a car is handy to explore the many stunning areas of the island. You won't need to exert yourself here! Relax while snorkelling in the clear, blue ocean, unwind with a prenatal massage at your hotel, or start your day with gentle yoga or pilates sessions surrounded by rainforests.

You’ll be overwhelmed by the variety of fresh foods, suitable for all tastes. Seafood, grill, fresh fruit and veg…you’ll be revitalised from the inside and out!

 Palm Beach, Florida

You want beaches? We'll give you beaches! Take an indulgent babymoon staycation in one of Florida's most desirable locations. Palm Beach is known for being one of the most luxuriously, laidback, beachside destinations in America. If all you want to do is kick-off your flip-flops and relax, you won't have any trouble doing it here.

Babymoon Staycations for Outdoor Lovers

Pregnancy doesn't mean you have to sit around all day - unless you want to of course! Here are some of our favourite babymoon spots to enjoy America's great outdoors.

Glamping in Colorado

Breathtaking lakes and mountain ranges, enveloped in perfect comfort and luxury. Glamping in Colorado offers so much for the senses you'll be organising your next visit before you even leave.

Will you choose snuggling-up close in a softly furnished tent, or stoking the fire in a yurt and bathing in the romantic orange glow? Winter offers crisp snow and heated interiors, and Summer offers cool walks through woods and exquisite, balmy sunsets.

Nestled within the trees, perched on the edge of a twinkling lake, or towered over by majestic mountains, relaxation will be effortless. The hardest part will be choosing your perfect spot to stay!

Don’t forget your camera!

Camden, Maine

Camden is a picture book harbour town, and if you go in the fall, you’ll be dazzled by nature’s symphony of colour.

Camden Hills State Park, Camden Harbor Park and Ampitheatre offer walking trails, gentle enough for any stage of pregnancy. Here you can explore forests, lakes and hills, enjoy your perfect picnic made from one of the many specialty food delis, choose a quiet spot to lie back together, and take in the stunning views of the sailboats in Penobscot Bay.

As you stroll around the picturesque town you’ll bump into historic and delightful buildings on every corner. Marvel at the opulent Camden Opera house and maybe book a show.

If you love seafood, book yourself a spot at a waterside restaurant and take your time tucking into some famed Maine lobster as you watch the boats go by. Then take a trip on the water. Sail into tranquillity with the majesty and history of the Schooner Surprise, or the Schooner Olad Windjammer Cruise. Take a couple of hours to discover local wildlife, nearby islands, and experience the beautiful, rocky shoreline of Maine in a haze of romance.

Babymoon Staycations for culture lovers

Soak-up some culture and indulge in some luxury before your little one arrives. We know we would!

Cruise on the Mississippi River on a luxury paddle steamer

History and culture combine in America's deep south and a trip on a paddle steamer is a delight for the senses. Take in the views of one of the world's most famous rivers as you listen to local musicians playing the blues on deck. Smell the aroma of tantalising Creole and Cajun cuisine, and relax in one of the elegant bars.

Visit iconic ports, experience the back drop to the Civil War and visit the inspirational landscapes that were the muse of Mark Twain. You’ll be walking in a dream it'll be hard to wake up from!

Take A City Break In The Big Apple

The city speaks for itself, but you can stay in a fancy hotel, make use of the pools and spas and indulge in fine foods. Catch a show, shop, and even take a horse drawn carriage ride around Central Park.

For a destination like this it makes sense to plan your itinerary ahead of time. There's so much to do it can be overwhelming! But if there's anywhere you can go in America to soak-up some culture for an unforgettable babymoon, New York is where its at!

Staying close to home

In the truest sense of the word, a staycation means 'to holiday from your own home'. And even if you're unable to travel you can still experience a romantic babymoon with your partner close to home. Planning some time out to visit local beauty spots, reliving some of your dating memories, or even booking a day at a local spa is all it takes to feel like you're stepping away from everyday life and making time for yourself.

It won't be long before your newest family member arrives and you can start making memories together as a three!

Where's your dream babymoon staycation destination? Join the conversation on Instagram or Facebook. We'd love to know!
